We can have, for example, two-sentence money principles about either saving or investing that are written on Internet memes. The aim is to provide bite-sized, straight to the point knowledge on any topic of interest that is combined with captivating imagery to enhance learning. This can be applied to both in-person and online learning, and the media graphics shared can be used as a hook point to spark conversations around the related topic. To stretch this idea further, kids can even be involved in ‘show & tell’ activities where they’re involved in creating these educational memes and sharing with their peers.
Flexibility – this approach can be used both online and in person.
Fun – Kids can be entertained while learning valuable information. Learning doesn’t have to be boring.
Participatory – Kids can be involved in the creative process of the educational memes.
Brevity – Lessons can be short and simple without the need for lots of supporting theory.
