Students are given a 5 minute break after every 20 minutes (high school students). 5 minutes to get up and move, stretch, sing a song etc.Research suggests during these little breaks the brain still processes what it has been told and actually has a chance to process really quickly.
I have found after implementing breaks the studenst score much higher (23% higher) in tests than before.
