Students from across the institution, predominantly those on courses with low Graduate Outcomes scores and employers locally, nationally and internationally
We are hoping to create a series of employer led events, such as webinars, seminars, hackathons, competitions and live briefs to enable students to effectively network with employers. We want to establish strong relationships with employers, who will then run these events for our students to engage with. We want to predominantly focus on providing these opportunities for students studying courses with the lowest Graduate Outcomes scores, where we see the real need to increase the number of students in the course progressing on to graduate level roles. We believe that students engaging with employers throughout their course is a great way for them to learn more about the industry, access work related learning opportunities, understand what employers are looking for, develop their skills and begin to network with employers, therefore increasing their likelihood of progressing into a graduate level role.
This programme of activities would increase students' career confidence as well as increase the likelihood of them engaging in work related learning opportunities and progressing on to graduate level roles. Students will also benefit from networking with employers in their chosen industry.
