All participants add their ideas, inspired by virtual events held around the world by local organizers in each city. The city with the most ideas will receive the award for the most creative city.
We at Future Spark believe that we can bridge the gap for teachers so that education can be converted into practical skills.
We do this by allowing the creation of a “Digital company”. This allows students to develop collaborative skills, creativity and initiative through the establishment and operation of a digital company. The teachers can now connect the work to the learning objectives in subjects. This gives students a deeper understanding and the ability to relate education to real-world skills.
What does this look like in the classroom?
First teachers will decide if they will allow their students to do real or just virtual (‘fake’) sales.
Next students will register as a team and start creating their digital company. Teachers will choose which courses their students can access and Also make their own. A practical example could be using the student company to figure out how much the revenue would be from selling x product, building a creative logo or What would the climate impact of my product listed on this platform. Everything will be tied up to that digital company and provides a fun engaging way for students to interact.
There is a feedback loop showing results to teachers and students that ties into a point system and a diploma for the students at the end. All of this should be easy and manageable for a teacher because most of the work is done by the student and the platform.
- Student can now appreciate what they are being taught in class
- Students get to be introduced to skills necessary to be entrepreneur with their current education syllabus
- Teachers get to see the performance of the students and able to get real time feedback on which students needs help
- Safe environment to inspire creativity among students and also team work among students
- Teachers can create customized courses based on the needs of the current syllabus which can be linked to buidling entrepreneurial mindset in student
To make this an idea successful, we are looking to collaborate with schools from developing economies and renowned corporate bodies who share the same vision of being a driving force behind training the future generation for design, innovation, and entrepreneurship. We at FutureSpark, are planning to expand to developing countries in Africa and Malaysia and Bangladesh.
We are looking to have partnered schools who would love to use our platform by sending explainer videos and brochures to see their response and interest after conducting thorough research. Also, proposals will be sent to corporate to sponsor some schools through their various CSR programs. Also, we are hoping to acquire more resources through participating in Education Expos and TradeShows and other edutech programs.
We currently have a young and ambitious team of both strong men and women. With Jack, being the CEO and founder of FutureSpark with good experience in entrepreneurship. Daniel Solback as a COO and also a software engineer. Mabuda Nessa working as a marketing lead analyst for Bangladesh and Malaysia market. Foster, working as a UX researcher as well as Advisor to the Founder. Hopefully, we will be looking forward to employ more people with diverse skills set to help growth this idea and organization better./
We have built the baseline of our platform and the next two phases for us will be one reaching out to schools and partners. Which we hope to start in June-July. If we get traction for an integrated learning platform directly for schools. We will build an iteration to our existing platform that supports more features such as design and innovation skills, and climate assessment scores. So that there is a direct use case for schools. We're hoping to get this ready for the next academic school year and start the development in August. The development is going to take us one month so we hope to be ready in September for the onboarding of schools and partners.
Because all our software is run digitally, we can create a sustainable, affordable education option for schools and non-profits. We also strongly believe in giving students the ability to play With concepts that businesses would have to work with.
We believe students will benefit significantly by using what they have learned. Therefore our platform works as a bridging gap between school and work life. Our platform also helps teachers show students what they've learned will look like in the real world. Everything is digital, and students can run or create imaginary companies and play around with concepts. Students can also work in a team, thereby teaching them team building at the early stages, which is necessary for the future.
It's also fun to show friends and families what you're doing, and we can develop digital competitions to increase students' engagement. We also think we have an essential part in introducing students to digital tools for work and entrepreneurship. By showing students digital technologies that can help them work and as entrepreneurs, we think they will be better employees and entrepreneurs after their education.
We are planning to start our expansion program in Africa since it has become a destination with the highest educational exclusion and also most of the countries are battling the issues of unemployment. With the rise of digital and mobile access makes Africa a favourable hotspot to commence our programs.
We're doing the main thing now to take our existing software into a Newmarket directly for schools. We will be introducing education directly into our platform. Our current team has a lot of technical skills and experiences in sales for non-profits that we hope we can translate into Distribution towards schools. We don't have a lot of experience creating digital courses, but we're hoping to partner up with big companies that will bridge the gap.
We plan to create a sustainable business model based on licences. We plan to have annual fees for schools and non-profits running the platform. We also think we can play an essential role in introducing important work concepts to students. Therefore, we hope to partner up with big companies that have important ideas to teach students, which we can distribute together through our platform. Our partner business model would be that a partner pays on behalf of the school, and we distribute the platform to as many schools as they are willing to pay for. In return, we would have a course on behalf of the partner, which will be added to the school's diploma. In addition, through the platform, prominent partners can host digital competitions for students. We hope this can pay for the project, create a vast reach and be very sustainable.
