Educators can bring the classroom to the TLM Learning to Learn Center to utilize teaching and learning materials ro to enhance delivery of content
Schools in Communities : Schools can replicate similar ideas or utilize the services of TLM L2L Center
Learning To Learn (L2L), Teaching and Learning Material -TLM Center will be established to provide services for community schools that lacks or have inadequate TLMs to enhance teaching and learning delivery .
The facility will be established through Private Public Partnership with local district and private investor to equip the center with the best TLMs so teachers , learners and school within the community can come and use the service
The center will have the following :
The TLM -L2L Center will serve as one stop shop for Teaching and Learning Materials services
Schools has to subscribe on monthly or yearly basis to utilize the facilities . Discount will be given to low level community schools base on assessment of challenge.
Provide alternative means for Teaching and Learning Materials for deprived community schools
Use as capacity building Educators
Improve quality content delivery
Financial resource of about $ 15,000 to set up the Learning to Learn Center
The approach for raising this resources will be through the following options
1. Partnership with the Private Organisations using the Corporate Social Responsibiluty - Example is Telecom Companies
2 .Grants sourcing
3 Partnership with local authority in Education and Assembly for support to secure a facilty for lease for 5-10 years
There is a team of 6 who are part of the planning and implementation
1. Two Project managers - With five years working experiences in Project management : Roles will be to initiate , plan , excute and closure of the project
2. Business development manager -1 He has four years experience working with diverse business organisations. His Role will be to fashion out the strategies for strategic partnership for implementation
3 Educator - Four years in educational sector . Role : Established the link between the idea and it implementation and ensure the concept is reallly implemented
4. Financial Management Expert : With 5 years working experiences in both the private and public sector
5. Administrator : Four years working exprience in Business administraion .. Role : Support the team in al our administrative work and logistics
Phases :
The first phase is the Project design and cost - The project team will design the project scope and work breakdown structure of the project which will include cost and project schedules - July 1st -July 5th 2022
The second phase Project briefing and Brainstorming phase to brief all stakeholders and orientate the team on the project and its impact , as well as implementation team - July 7th , 2022
The third phase : Engaging with the private and public organisatrion for Strategic partnership stage : , submiting our proposals and budget to five key strategic corporate organisation for consideration and possible partnership . Proposal for grants will also be submitted during the same period . 8th July - 20th July 2022
Fourth phase : MoU sign for project acceptance and implementation : 22nd July -25th July 2022
Final Phase : Project Excution commence : 26th July -2022- 26th Nov 2022 the Center should be set up for official launching
The facility will be lease between 5-10 years contract and equiped with the resource needed . The Center business model can generate some revenue to maintain the place and cater for it workers .
In Ghana there is no One Stop Center or Facility that provides key Teaching and Learning Materials as a resource tools and center for teaching and learning program . In addition will be a center for capacity building for Educators, Learners and Parents . STEM Component of the services will be of great impact in promoting STEM Education in Ghana and across West Africa
The project will be piloted in Greater Accra Region to cater for the southern part of Ghana . If well established after four years .
The project will be replicated at the Tamale, which is Northern Part of Ghana to cater for those in the North
Accra, the capital of the West African country of Ghana, is technologically marginalized by any measure. But over the past ten years, the introduction of the Internet, wireless technology and freer radio broadcasts have vastly expanded communications and information. The Internet is widely available. This project will heavily rely on internet and ICT equipment which will be purchase and installed . Example : Desktops Computers, Labtops , Projectors , Screen , Wireless Internet (We have four great Telecoms in Ghana who are investing a lot in Technology through various CSR projects and they are our strategic partners for this project .
Technical capacity for installation is also available example : Networking engineers ,, Software developers , Artisans and Project Managers who understand the project managememt life cycle
Partnership with STEM Network Ghana and Innovate Ghana is very strategic partnership for this project
The Center will four social enterprise models
- Provide capacity building training for Educators , Schools and Indviduals Private organisations to generate monthly revenue . This services will be well ,marketed and branded to attract clients
- The resource facility can also be use for STEM related activities and Teachimg Learning Activities for rent
- Montly or Yearly Membership Subscription will also be a source of generating revenue to maintain the facilty - We will have three types of subscriptions : Premium , Gold and Silver Subscriptions .
-CSR and grants sourcing is also the option to provide support for deprived schools and communities for free as a support
