Tous les participants ajoutent leurs idées, inspirées par des événements virtuels organisés dans le monde entier par des organisateurs locaux dans chaque ville. La ville qui aura le plus d'idées recevra le prix de la ville la plus créative.
All students directly involved in the initiative but also those students who take part once the Escape Room has been created. It would also be good to engage and inspire other students to create their own Escape Rooms. Staff will also benefit through being able to discern areas where students are struggling to grasp fundamental concepts of the subject area.
Subject Specific Escape Rooms The idea is that students work in a group to create a physical Escape Room where the clues relate to their specific subject area. Students will have to design the questions, apply these to different puzzles, construct the schematic for the escape room, and then build the room. Once a prototype escape room has has been created, they will test this on other students, then evaluate to determine if the level they have set the 'puzzles' is appropriate for the user groups. Once the final room has been created, students can then invite other students to take part. In doing so the students will have developed their own understanding of the subject area, as well as understanding how other students learn and apply their knowledge.
The most important benefit of this idea is that students will be gaining knowledge through understanding how other students approach problem solving in their discipline area. They will also gain new skills, both technical (design, construction) and generic (evaluation, team work, problem solving, time management, addressing feedback, etc.). This will benefit the students involved, but also any student that then engages with the Escape Room, as they will be learning through creative play.
