What is the idea?

Reading Club
Improve reading skills by assisting kids to read along in shared readings and paired reading sessions.
The kids get to enhance their reading skills and build confidence.
They will expand their vocabulary in an environment that is fun and engaging.

Library Day
Get access to books, educational cartoons and stationary. The kids get a personal library card which they can use to borrow books.
They are taught to be responsible for the books they lend by taking a Library pledge.
Reading at home, school or anywhere improves the kids' vocabulary and helps with their language development.

'Have a Go' Writing Workshop
Be creative! Kids can expand on their writing skills in free- and creative writing workshops. This is to nurture their creativity and build their confidence.
The goal is for the children to learn how to express their thoughts in writing.
Workshops are available in English and isiXhosa.
-We have signed up more than 50 kids (25 kids foundation phase and 25 kids Kindergarten) as our beneficiaries, and they all have our Library Cards, that enables them to borrow books, and have access to our resources.
-Our vision is abroad and part of it is to take the project to other communities, in South Africa and around the globe.

- Litha sam-sam is our project manager.
- Okuhle Fentele is our director.
- Sassi Messow is responsible for our marketing, designing and a social worker.
- Ronaldo Mntanase is our coordinator.

4. Loxion Mobile Library was established in 2020, during the rise of Covid-19 in South Africa. This was a response to the pandemic and from there it grew to what we see now.
5. We have 25 kids who are attending our afternoon sessions and 25 kids who are attending our morning sessions every day.

-We want to open a space for an after-school care facility, for kids in school.
- We will charge R150 every month.
