Our team of stakeholders and collaborators
Iris Artist Residency (Water Dixon Artist Studio) - A mentorship program that creativily innovates equity and ownership in the art world while unlocking capabilties and potential of up-and-coming artists and designers.
Learning Seeds Network - (Re)imagining Greater Muizenberg: Nurturing Seeds of Transgressive Learning (Learning Seeds) is a one-year research project, based in Muizenberg, running from October 2021-September 2022. Another word for transgressive is courageous. This project is about finding courageous new ways of seeing, understanding and doing things together. Courageous learning also involves creating space for voices that have been historically under-represented to lead the agenda, shifting some of the historically-dominant approaches and voices from the ‘centre’ of the work. The Learning Seeds Network is a growing network of people from across Greater Muizenberg that was set up as part of this research process. Many members are actively involved in existing local initiatives focused on social justice and learning. Some of the organisations represented include: The New Muizenberg School; Muizenberg Community Garden; Harmony’s Angels Food Kitchen; Muiz Kitchen; Amava Oluntu; Ingcungcu Sunbird Restoration; Fit for Life; Jungle Theatre; Loxion Library, Sozo Foundation, Fynbos life, InMotion studio, and Uvuno Hub. We have formed three research Dream Teams, made up of people within the network, to do collaborative research within their chosen focus areas (Nature, Food & Gardens, Education & Learning, and Creative Voices).
Loxion Lobile Library - ideas and innovation on the move, through our townships and commnuties. Radically including the innate creativity of our children.
WePads - Bleeding with Confidence. This stakeholder centers the girl-child and highlights the potential of the creative communtiy economy when we do.
Seed Phase: Incubation (July 2022)
We will go on a 3-night regenerative immersion, combining transformation and peace:
- Illuminating and thought-provoking workshops and immersions to share visions and hopes. Reframe challenges into opportunities, as we work and play together to raise the collective Creative Spirit!
- We invite everyone who comes to find his or her life’s question by opening up and listening, turning inward without closing the eyes for too long. We are convinced that we can all contribute to the solution of today’s problems tomorrow, if we stay with ourselves, discover the diversity as the chance and gather our strength for the great transformation.
- We create harmony of Heart, Head (mind) and Hands. The Triple-H Approach. We enable us to find the Power of Oneness within ourselves and our purpose together.
Together we surrender to the natural forces of humanity and nature. We experience each day life in structured processes of body, mind and soul.
- A curated interwoven group experience which will unpack a myriad of topics that are relevant to our lives and the evolution of our perceived roles in society. We lovingly dare, to collectively lean into topics of spiritual rightness, anger, racism, relationships, healing of self and other aspects you want to explore, all held within the tapestry of freedom and celebration of change.
Sapling Phase: Nurture (August 2022)
What happens when we leave the womb? And when our seed has sprouted? We go to the nursery to be nourished.
We will nourish the seed through:
- Co-creative project design processes
- Culture shaping opportunities
- Peacebuilding through conflict faciltatino training
- High performance one-on-one life optimization coaching
Tree Phase: Plant (September 2022 - South African Spring)
~ By gathering the collective emotional intelligence of the group and the project creations from Sapling phase, we are able to find ways to redesign business processes to accommodate as many needs as possible. And also to find the necessary compromises that take into account the three key pillars: Business, Ecology & People.
~ Compassionate and connected dialogue is critical. We draw on indigenous wisdom and native cultures, as well as modern understanding of neuroscience. The Way of Council — a practice of learning to listen and speak from the heart in a circle to explore questions together.
~ We develop literacy in systemic thinking and interacting patterns in the world, in the people who work for and with our communities and stakehoolders.
~ We invite our teams to spend time alone in nature, deep connection to wild nature gives us the answers that transforms consciousness.
This is a 'let ideas live' movement.
This is about equity and community owenrship.
This is about unlocking the creative potential within people and communities which will naturally shift the spheres of un-ending education in our people.
Seed Phase will be at chosen sacred sites across the Western Cape.
Sapling and Tree Phases will be in Muizenberg, Vrygrond and Bokaap communties - emerging urban eco-villages.
