To combat the problem above, we can employ activity-based learning. Basically, youths come up with projects for personal study that will allow students to plan, create, and carry out their own learning. To begin, students must come up with an idea, a topic, or an orientation; this motivates students to engage in active learning in real-world and personally meaningful projects, resulting in solution and product development. This can be projects in technical work such as capentry, sewing, science projects, food & catering, etc.
Students often work on a project for a week to a semester that requires them to solve real-world problems, answer hard questions, and create public goods. As a result of this, students will be able to build deep content knowledge as well as critical thinking skills.
The advantages of introducing independent study projects in the classroom include opportunities for deeper thinking and the development of critical skills related to college and career readiness, as well as abilities that students will need to succeed in the future. This enhances students' attitudes toward education by allowing them to feel like builders of their own learning journey.
Provides a variety of opportunities for feedback and revision of the plan as well as project implementation, allowing students to gain a deeper understanding of concepts through relevant and authentic experience. This prepares students to accept challenges in the real world, similar to what professionals do on a daily basis.

A team of 3 ‘project administrators will be available. These are Youth Field Officers who will be responsible for facilitating learning sessions, providing participants with materials/printouts of the infographics, collecting feedback from participants on how useful, engaging they find this approach, etc.
A team of youth digital artists who can be involved with creating infographics.
Flexibility as it can be implemented in virtual discussion groups or in person. Participatory as kids can be involved in the creative process of designing the infographics, and brevity since lessons can be short and to the point without the need for lots of supporting theory.

Yes, we can create infographics on Canva or PowerPoint. Youth Field Officers will also periodically meet with the participants during youth center meetings where these infographics can be used to facilitate learning. If in-person meetings aren't possible, this is still possible online using WhatsApp groups.
