Community, parents and children
One of the local schools to share a lesson a week. Therefore over the course of a year (52 weeks) parents would have ideas of activities to do with children. Each week one school would chose a class activity to share with the community on a community website. The following week a different local school would pick an activity from a specific year group, then another the week afterwards. Quickly a bank of activities for parents to tap into would be built up.
Community ideas generation, schools could highlight their good practice. Parents get confidence to try things

We are a university and have a access to academics, lecturers and students to help bring ideas forward. We also have many business connections which we can partner up with if required.

Short term: publicise the idea, get material and set up the website
Long term: build the ideas and then share nationally / globally the idea
Schools may already do this, but it would be a central hub through the university to promote community (or local councils). Cross learning of schools and parental ideas. Sharing common ideas. Building a community of practice.

We also have the latest technology including 3d printers, CAD machines and specialist software. Faculties such as business, arts, mechanical engineering, architecture, bio science etc are able to come together to help bring an idea forward.
