Often students are worried about getting the wrong answer so they do not speak up.
In classrooms we could have different coloured balls and tubs. Studenst would be asked a question and put a ball in the tub that is associated with the answer they think is true. Teacher can see the range of answers and the answers that are voted. They can then gauge the understadning of all learners not just the confident ones. Students have no anxiety around getting the wrong answer.
teacher understands the understanding of their student, every student gets a voice and confidence increases. Teachers know what to go back over for clarity.
