All participants add their ideas, inspired by virtual events held around the world by local organizers in each city. The city with the most ideas will receive the award for the most creative city.
Educators, students, and future employers
Develop online teacher training that can be completed on the teacher's own time. This training will walk teachers through a method they can use to incorporate critical and creative thinking into their already existing curriculum. We will create a step-by-step method to help teachers revamp their core lessons to ensure their students learn the skils of creative and critical thinking and how to apply them. Many programs offer "add ons" to the curriculum and teachers do not have time to add any more lessons to their day. This method and training will teach educators from K-12 how to increase the level of creativity through hands-on and reflective professional development.
Teachers will be able to use their existing curriculum in new ways to encourage creativity and critical thinking. Students will gain new skills that will benefit themselves and their future employers. Creativity is known to increase mental and emotional well-being so promoting these skills the benefits will also help teachers and students be more resilient.
